The Ak-Sar-Ben organization has been an integral part of Omaha society since its founding in 1895. The organization has been supported by the upper crust of Omaha society, and has sponsored not only entertainment shows, an annual stock/horse show, but also sponsored horse racing for many years. Some of the good deeds performed by the organization over the years include granting emergency vehicles, scholarships, and supporting civic improvements.
